Welcome! Why are you here? More importantly, why am I here? Isn't that the question? Clever, right? Eh, maybe not, but you'll get used to it. I'm Ethan, and for over a decade, my major online presence has been The Figure in Question, a site where I review action figures on a mostly daily basis. I have other interests and endeavors too, and now I'm putting a bunch of them here, as I do my best to recapture what I loved about the internet when I encountered it in the mid-to-late-'90s.

So, exactly who am I? Well, a lot of things, actually. I'm a father. I'm a husband. I'm a widower. I owe my existance to Star Trek coventions, and spent the better part of my first two decades helping run them. I've also worked in IT, publication design, and retail. I've been published in an actual book where I got paid to talk about Star Wars action figures. I've been less than 10 feet from a cop car that exploded into flames. My brain is full of completely unneeded facts about the history of action figures. I currrently own more than 10 '90s Toy Biz Havok figures, and my goal is to eventually own them all. Above all, I am Ethan. So, you know, there's that.

I've been a little slower on the updates recently, because things have been kinda crazy on my end, and, amongst other things, spent the weekend with a scratched retina. But, I'm still here, and I've added a handful of reviews under the Action Figure Reviews page, and I've put up another 30 listings over on the eBay side. It was a snow day in my neck of the woods, so I put some work into things here. More drawings added to the "Artwork" page, continuing my cataloguing of the Post-It drawings. Action Figure Reviews have also deen updated with the latest reviews. Lastly, about 30 listings got added to the eBay page, as I continue to streamline my personal collection and clean out the basement of my Granddad's old tech stuff. Don't hoard stuff, kids! --E

A bunch of new drawings got added to the "Artwork" page, entailing about a third or so of the Post-It drawings I did in 2024. The Action Figure Reviews page also has been upated with my latest reviews from my site, mirrored here in all that basic html glory! --E

The site is pretty much up and running now, so all of my links actually go places and at the very least I have *something* on each page. My plan is to keep the action figure review side concurrent with my main FiQ site for now, and I'll be trying to upload older reviews starting with 2013 and moving forward. Artwork and customs will see updates as I have the time, and as I find photos of things to upload. --E
